DAVE MUSTAINE Issues Update On 'Kewl Stuff' Coming Up in MEGADETH World

July 13, 2007

MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine has issued the following update:

"I had a trip up to L.A. yesterday and had meetings for hours and there is some real kewl stuff coming up for all-things-mega.

"I saw all of the Pan-Pacific dates, and it potentially includes Indonesia, Singapore, South Korea, and China added in to the usual favorites of ours, Japan and Australia. There appears to be an especially great run coming up in Oz, which we will update you officially on, as soon as we can. We also discussed the U.S. mini-tour the September, and it looks like I am spending my birthday on the road again. Oh well, this way I can make a mess and not worry about the morning after. [We are excited how many fan club members are getting their tickets early] We also made contact with Michael Sarna (Gigantour 2005 and 2006 filmmaker) about finishing last year's Gigantour DVD, as well as special releases and broadcasts that Image wants to do with these films and the DVD 'That One Night', our live recording from Argentina.

"Actually looking forward to seeing the guy."

Xfire, the world's premiere gaming platform, will host a live chat with MEGADETH as part of "Xfire Music Week" this coming Monday, July 16 at 7:00 p.m. EDT at Xfire.com. 10 signed copies of MEGADETH's new album, "United Abominations", will be given away as prizes.

Sign up for the MEGADETH chat here. If you win a spot in the chat, you will receive an e-mail from Xfire between 24 and 48 hours before the live chat takes place.

MEGADETH will embark on a U.S. headlining tour in the fall, with support from IN THIS MOMENT and THE CONFESSION. Tickets go on sale to the public starting this Friday, July 13.

MEGADETH's latest CD, "United Abominations", has sold 109,000 copies in the United States since its May 15 release, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
